Soon after learning all of the basic chords and strums most students will want to start learning beginner guitar songs as soon as possible. This represents an exciting time where you’ll finally start to feel as though you are really playing guitar and producing real music. Some students make the fatal mistake of trying to get one song perfect before moving on to the next one. This is dangerous because you risk becoming stagnated and caught in a rut. It is far better to attempt to play a wide variety of beginner guitar songs regardless of whether you can play them perfectly or not. You’ll find that this will keep your guitar playing feeling fresh and interesting and all the while you’ll be improving your ability to change chords and strum fluently.
